Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry Network
Appreciative Inquiry is an approach to organisational and practice change which takes the appreciation and understanding of 'what is' as its starting point. Rather than focus on problems and how to overcome them, A.I. starts by recognising that, in every organisation, something works. A.I. takes us through the steps of discovering what works and what helps it to work, and in doing this it establishes a foundation for future developments - building on achievements rather than concentrating on avoiding failures.
